I can't imagine doing my job, week in, week out and getting that kind of vitriolic abuse.
Just think - the highest praise that you get is the lowest volume of boos that you receive when you leave the factory floor/office on your lunch break and at "home time".
The best thing that anyone will ever say about you is "blimey, he must have been good today as I hardly noticed him".
And whilst you see your work colleagues "dropping the ball" and having a bad day it is you that will get the blame as you leave the building.
The cherry on the cake of course is that some customers will wait for you in the car park to hurl abuse at you - some of them will even find out where you live and taunt you at your home.
