Another win for quality coverage in the UK. You would have to be a complete simpleton to not see the agenda.

Even the general public have tagged on to how it works with #blameburgess. lol

'General public'?

And there was me thinking it was Union-obsessives like you.

It was also on the Union section of the BBC Sport website, albeit a bit further down given they've got something quite important going at the moment.

Still, carry on with the rampant paranoia if it helps you sleep at night.

By rampant paranoia do you mean a fair and reasonable interpretation of what I've seen? I'm an intelligent guy so please don't patronise me. Look at the article, it was classified as a rugby league story, not union or both, while most of the content focused on union.

But then you probably couldn't see that as you're an agenda driven troll.

galliant,

Took you off ignore as a mod said you had been banned as an obvious union troll with nothing to add. Yet you are back. Obviously the moderation needs work here.

Not to worry, back on ignore. Have a happy life. You may wish to consider getting some treatment for why as a union troll you spend so much time on a rugby league board. Don't bother replying. I won't be reading it. haha

Toodles.

As for the thread substance rather than the troll, the fact the #blameburgess joke is so widely known says it all about how transparent union's pathetic agenda is. What sort of a gormless sport tries to blame the new bloke who has been there less than 1 year while ignoring the dozens who have played the game all their lives? Almost the very definition of failing to take responsibility for their actions. Truly laughable.

Listened to TalkSport for an hour and a half this morning and forty minutes at lunch and not one mention of the SL Grand Final. The Wales v Australia game was heavily covered, with repeat features on it and several interviews on it. They went on several times about the massive weekend of sport coming, then previewed Wales v Australia again, listed every race in the horse racing and every international football game, then every Union World Cup game. Not even a mention for the GF. TalkSport historically has always mentioned league, even if not showing any real interest in it. To not even mention the biggest game of RL of the year, when they routinely at least list the fixtures and results is bizarre. Makes you wonder whether it's a deliberate omission, perhaps due to their deal with the RUWC? Are Union really going back to the 80s and 90s and actively seeking to prevent the media covering RL? Or is it just the Union-biased producers being fools?

What would a Cockney know about rugby league?

The report is presented as a Rugby League story, strange given that the quoted statistics in the article show that Union players have been guilty of around 50% more positive tests than Rugby League players.

What cracked me up was the real disappointment shown by the "England supporters" in the studio that Sam didn't get a yellow.

It's like they felt that by not getting a yellow like Farrell, they had been somehow cheated out of being able to blame the whole defeat on him.

Pathetic.

Re: Thugby League in the press : Fri Oct 09, 2015 7:40 pm
The bloke doing some outside shots around Manchester for BBC North West Tonight at 18:30 said "with England-Uruguay being a dead rubber, this [Old Trafford] will be the place to be tomorrow night".

The sports reader also said "I'm going to Wigan-Leeds as well, can't wait"!

Before that BBC 6 o'clock News didn't mention the Grand Final, and after it, the One Show talked about a load of rugby and football games at the very end as being part of a "great weekend of sport" and didn't mention the Grand Final.

That's typical BBC.
The RFL need to improve their media department and get the message out.
