| Jarryd Hayne has said that he would only play for Parramatta in the NRL. But Parramatta can no longer afford him under their salary cap, especially after their cap cheating scandal being exposed and punished.
That leaves Hayne two options: (1) join the prestigious Sydney Roosters and thereby be forced to play against Parramatta (2) Join Super League, with massive payments possible under the Marquee Player allowance.
The latter is not a far fetched possibility. The two clubs most likely to chase him are Catalans and Salford.
Catalans, who will be releasing William Mason at year's end, might even squeeze Hayne in next September with a temporary deregistration of injured Krisnan Inu.
Salford is flush with money in the deep pockets of the ambitious Marwan Koukash.
I have ruled out Wigan (Tomkins), Leeds (Hardaker) and Warrington (Gidley) as possibilities.
What do other people think?

| Can't see him wanting to play in the Championship with Leeds next season
In all honesty though, can't see him coming to SL, sure one of the NRL teams will take him if he wants to come back to League. None of the SL teams this season have impressed due to the injuries across all teams, so can't see him here unfortunately.

That he didn't quit NFL wages only for the Olympics, and RU has already signed him up long term

The issue is that by playing 7s for Fiji Hayne hugely reduces his value in RU because he isnt able to receive any of the ARU top ups or receive much in terms of international pay.
Far more likely he returns to the NRL.
Small possibility someone over here can get him for a year and a bit because he will be at a loose end after August and the NRL sc is likely to go up to about AUD10m in 2018 so he might be in a better renegotiation position after a year getting an RL bodyshape and a higher cap

| Once that Olympic money rolls in, Rugby Union is going to go from strength to strength.

| Hayne has a massive profile in Australia right now.
He can literally pick any club in the NRL to play for and sign his own million dollar 3rd party agreement to pay for it.
He would have to et a top 25 contract, which I think is about 80k on the salary cap, but above that he pays for himself - just like SBW did,

| Is he a complete lock to make the olympic team? It was well publicised the changes he had to make to cut it in the NFL, will he be able to get back into Rugby Shape (especially 7's) in time?
Also aren't Fiji highly successful at 7s, should they really risk disrupting a squad for some star power?

| No chance of him playing NRL or Super League IMO. His ego has rocketed to SBW levels now and he won't admit defeat and return to the sport that made him. He sees himself as being above that now. If successful in the Olympics, and lets face it, it's not going to be too hard as the top RU professionals will not be doing that, he'll no doubt join a Union side somewhere. If that fails and none want him, I'd imagine he'll take up Baseball or Aussie Rules.
Too arrogant, too smug to return to league, he'd see that as a failure.

| I wouldn't be surprised to see him playing in the French Top 14 at all, at some point. However if playing for Fiji in the Olympics disqualifies him from representing the Wallabies in XV-a-side then playing in the NRL again makes the most sense.
I think its a tad unfair to class him as the SBW type. He sacrificed a lot of money to have a crack at the NFL and he didn't do badly at all. I don't see Sam Burgess getting the same sort of labelling for going to rugby.

| I expect him to be back in the NRL for 2017. Super League clubs won't be able to compete for a player like Hayne, even as a marquee player, as the NRL's tv deal is so superior.
