Shaun McRae to Hull : Tue Sep 06, 2011 12:31 pm
Shaun McRae has been appointed as Director of Rugby at Hull. Richard Agar has left according to Sky Sports News.

It's obviously less stressful at Hull. :?

Hopefully he can work his magic at FC the same way he did at the Willows.

Does that mean Simms and McRae are the only two in DoR roles in Super League?

Apparently he's an actual director dealing with the Rugby side of things as opposed to the normal DoR who has a big hand in training, signings etc..

Why do Hull love him so much ?
How can it be that a employee be totally useless at his job for 4 years, go off sick with a stress related illness, get a pay off and then walk into another job ?
Fkin joke

from the MEN

"McRae, who was head coach at Hull from 2000-04, will become the club's director of rugby and help choose Agar's successor.

That is expected to be Australian Peter Gentle, currently assistant to Tim Sheens with both Wests Tigers and Australia, who rejected the chance to take over as Salford coach earlier this year"

Re: Shaun McRae to Hull : Tue Sep 06, 2011 5:05 pm
Just been on Hull's Forum and read 18 pages of supporters glowing in their praise of the man we knew as 'The Slug'.

There may have a miriad of circumstances that led to his ultimate failure, but it beggars belief that he didn't play a major role in the dire rugby that we've had to put up with for the last four years.

I will be very interested indeed to see how this appointment turns out.
