Rather be runners up in Cup and Grand Final than mid table plodders.

Exactly. Rhys Evans offers zero attacking threat.

Maybe more people on here will see we need a bigger, more aggressive pack now. A classic contrast stood out - Wigan have Farrell we have Wilde.

Agreed. We lacked the size tonight. If you add Westwood, Dodds, Currie and a fit Harrison we would have matched them.

When my team makes a grand final, I like them to win it. No good losing them, relentlessly.

Surely it can only be a player from Catalans. Probably the best RL side I have ever witnessed in this season's comp.

Ahhhahahahaha.

All those Warrington trolls on the saints forum after saints lost. Never mind. At least you got the hub cap. You know, that bit of metal that was nothing when saints won it every year but now it's pride of place at Warrington hq.
Has any team ever choked in 2 finals in one season lols

Gloss over it all you like but we've become known as the bottlers. Not saying the effort wasn't there but the fact of the matter is we cannot finish teams off in the big games + as I've already stated that was not the best Wigan team by a long chalk.2 lost finals in a season ain't good enough for this club esp the amount of money spent on players.

How old are you? I remember when a single final was enough to buy a coach a new contract regardless of the result. This year we've won one comp, and finished 2nd in the other two. We have no Devine right to win anything, and history certainly shouldn't give us any expectations.

As for 'bottling' it: in the past fortnight we closed out against Hull to win the LLS, then beat our nemesis to qualify for the GF. Hardly the form of bottlers is it? You can't blame the fact we got beat by a better team on the day as down to bottling it: that's just a lazy, ill-informed view.

Don't kid yourself Hull were obviously suffering from a massive Wembley hangover + less said about the Saints game the better but if winning eff all is good enough for you then your easily pleased + not a lazy ill informed view just my honest opinion + as for my age let's just say I'd guess I was watching Wires when you was just a twinkle in your fathers eye.

The negative posting is ridiculous. Lineham was excellent bar one drop, Gidley should have passed it out near the end, put that was outweighed by many spot on kicks and tenacious defence, Sandow was excellent when he came on ( can't believe the idiot who posted to say he should have gone home!) We lost it in the forwards with lack of go forward, and it's no surprise with the players we had missing.

To those who are slagging the players off, you should be ashamed of yourselves. They put 100% in. There's always going to be a winner and loser. I'm gutted but no scape goats, we were so close again.

At last someone talking sense and not just here for a moan.

Agree, wigan just slightly better on the night. We were in then hunt for all 3 trophies, disappointing yes but it was a lot worse last year. I'd rather us lose a final than not get there.

Would say Saints have a lot to do to get back in contention with either side.Back to the drawing board.
