Just been confirmed on SSN, Leon Walker has sadly passed away after being taken to Hospital following a reserves game earlier on and that's why it was postponed.

Awful news. Another tragedy for the club. Our thoughts are with the Walker family and the Wildcats at this sad time.

RIP young man, It's sad to see anyone go in the prime of their life but by all reports this guy had genuine talent. played for England U21's and had a good future.

This is indeed very tragic, Wakefield have had more than there fair share of tragedy.

My thoughts are with his family, friends, team mates and the Wakey Club.

Sorry to hear of the passing of a young RL player. I took my wife to her first match today and she loved it at the HJ. She is so moved by the news even after one game. That's what makes RL so special.
