Wondering if someone can help me. I emailed the club but no-one got back to me about this.

On the web site currently there is:
2020 Home Adult Shirt £34.30 reduced from £49.00
2020 Home Players Shirt £52.50 reduced from £75.00

I am going to buy one but obviously can't compare them in the shop at the moment.

Usually, a players issue (for Liverpool FC) has features such as tougher stitching and a quality transfer badge (rather than a stitched one that gives you nip rash)

Is that the difference here? Is there any difference? They look exactly the same on the web site. Cheers if anyone could advise which one I should get - is the extra £18 worth it basically?

I've got some player shirts and some ordinary ones from the last few years....main diffs are player shirts are lighter, stretchier "performance" material, have the grippy nipples on the front and are a tight fit (dad bods beware, you will expose yourself to ridicule). Never seen any difference in logos/printing (all sublimated on both shirts). All my shirts are pre-o'Neil's though, so I stand to be corrected. Player shirts worth the extra if you have the figure for them imo

The player shirt being played quality, tougher material and seams with like a rubber grip over the top chest.
The cheaper replica is like the quality we’ve had since shirts were made in Turkey.
Bring back British makers.

Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately, due to a slight lockdown lack of exercise/beer gut the fans' shirt wins out.

O'Neills produce in Ireland (Dublin and Strabane). Not Britain but closer than ISC, all of their shirts that I've got state Made In China.

I’d like the see 1895sports given a boost. The last decent playing shirt I had was was Elgreen...(made in England)
The Canterbury training shirt was excellent quality too.

I was told a while back that because of (lack of) economies of scale the smaller firms cannot match the bigger ones on price (I live in Chester, and this was a discussion about Chester FC's shirt being produced by Nike rather than a local supplier).

So, while choosing 1895 as a supplier might give a local business a boost, Wire would make less profit per unit on each shirt sold.

For that reason, it doesn't bother me that we choose a bigger supplier.

The Ellgren shirts did look decent. In fact, the 1991-92 is a classic. I don't think the 1895 look good, though.

Coops is in touch with fans. He will recognise the shirts over most of the last decade have been poor.
I’d pay extra for quality made in England with a great design. I’ve got shirts from 30 years ago look pristine. I had shirts mid 2010s that peeled and collected wash fuzz and mis-shaped.
