It will be interesting to see what the years in the other code have done to him. He was electric when he was at Saints but that is a long time ago now. But as I said on the Leeds forum, it's a low-risk signing for them, just as Burrell was for us.
Eastmond will be on 50% then 75% cap rate for first 2 yrs as a returning player (over 5 yrs out of RL), whilst Burrell was 0% then 50% as a 'talent pool' RL player (having not played pro RL before).
So Burrell was much lower risk (in terms of impact to salary cap).
Always rated Eastmond as a real attacking threat. I bet he'll still be a handful at times but obviously he will have lost some pace. My concern would be his durability as I reckon he has had a few injuries over the years. Stanley Gene he is not.
