BTW, St George was the Lebanese son of a Palestinian woman and a Roman soldier. An appropriate patron for our multicultural nation to be proud of, I'd say. Not forgetting the Plantagenet (French) St.George flag, and Three Lions crest, showing our true spirit of European integration as well!!

We can`t as an England Nation fly the St George Flag irrespective of its origins but the Irish tricolor ( which has its roots from the FR ) is allowed to adorn countless pubs et al on the 17th March... I fly my St Georges flag outside my house up to England getting knocked out of whatever competition at QF stage as usual 
St Georges Days, I genuinely couldn't care less. Don't even know, or want to know what it is, or when it is.
