Unfortunately all the quality players who come through the local junior teams generally end up at Wigan, Saints or Wire not Leigh.
Its easy to say we have youth in the side so it needs time, but we don't have any future SL standard players in there apart from possibly Higson, but to be honest for him to progress as a player he would need to move on to a bigger club IMHO.
thanks kellys eye...that is what im trying to say but you have exlained it much better.
Quality young players need quality around them to improve and progress, they don't need to be out there every week carrying some of there team mates in a competition like this, that just plateau's there development and enthusiasm.'" |

| In truth Doncaster are a very poor side and what has been written about our discipline or indiscipline I agree with. The touch judge who ruled out Alstead,s try baffled me unless he has 20/20 vision. Maybe the DVD of the game will vindicate him.
We should have won easily but didn,t and I really am concerned what will happen when we play a good side, if we continue like this.
Having said that I am always happy with a win and were slightly better than last week.
Oh the aphostrophe after Alstead is in the wrong place.  |

In the real world the only youngster we have capable of progressing to a higher level if brought along correctly is Higson.
Some may find that harsh but it is IMO the truth.
Some of the other youngsters we have can hold their own in this division against the bottom half like Donny etc, but they will be exposed for what they are like a streaker at Lords during a 1 day international against the likes of Fax, Barrow and the Chemics. |

Play badly and get a win. It'll do for me. I accept we havn't got a world beating team. Whats the point In this non promotion league 
Like I say not world beating but they atre still MY team. |

are we still looking overseas, loan deals from super league or thats it for this season.

Again i refer to my previous post i love leigh rl and it doesnt make me feel good writing blogs but.....we have no more or no less money than your donnys batley gatesheads and whitehaven(who nearly went bust not so long ago) My point is they seem to play a faster speed of rugby than Leigh from the play the ball to actual passing moves ...we seem so lethargic at times that you want to go on some times and shake them... i will still go to every game as i believe that youth is the way forward it ,maybe might mean that its the way they are being schooled that may be the problem???
