I wonder who could be lying here? It Derek a man who's shown how committed he is to the club, has only acted in the club's interest & has given up so much of his money, time & effort. Or could it be Ryan a player who's always publicly said how much he loves Leigh & how committed he is to the club while at the same time leaking every detail of every approach & private detail in his contract to the press presumably to try to pressure the club into improving his contract, eventually threatening to leave & leaking it to Sky before anyone could try to solve the issues. "If only the fans knew what's going on." tell us then Ryan, or is it just another attempt to cover up your silly games now the club has got sick of them and called your bluff? I know who I believe & it's not the player who it seems has been lying to us for years.

I don,t know Derek or Ryan personally and I won't be forming any opinion of either of them in this situation from what I read on here but will see how things pan out. But for now my support is with DB as he is the one putting the money in. Having said that I bear no animosity to RB as with all the conflicting stories I will have to wait and see. Head buried in sand maybe but me worrying or getting stressed about the goings on will not change anything except possibly my health. The club is bigger than the individuals and I will support it until either it or I no longer exist. Come on you Leythers.

Whatever our opinion of the owner or player, this mess (and any other 'mess' that may be lurking in the background) needs to be sorted out as soon as possible. Whoever is 'right' or 'wrong' in the dispute, doesn't really matter. What does matter, in my opinion, is that the name of our club, and almost certainly the product on the pitch, are being severely damaged by the current, frankly appalling publicity.

The solution to this has to be thrashed out, by the parties involved, getting together and talking it through. Whatever the eventual outcome, this process will have to happen - so, for my money the sooner the better! Yes, that will lead to people having to swallow their pride, admit they were wrong and then get down to what we (they) all want - a successful (and preferably happy, because that is a necessary ingredient) club.

At the end of the day, nobody - be they supporter, player, coach, director, or owner - is bigger than our club.

So, come on guys - I understand you all have high emotions about this - please get together and sort it, then we can all move on, hopefully upwards.

I,m pretty sure DB once said he,ll do what ever necessary to get Leigh in Superleague.
My only question will that cost involve, morals, integrity,common decency and people's livelihoods ?

I've taken the mickey out of this something chronic, but in seriousness I think the end game for the current regime is approaching.

It's almost an exact action replay of the bs, hype and general tom foolery that came out of our club during the flip flop and poskitt era.

I was one of those that defended the regime until the bitter (and it was bitter) end. I get where the loyal fans are coming from.

I'd listen to those leythers that are questioning the regime, they almost certainly are on to something.

Meanwhile, I'll be hoping for a Dee Dar win this afternoon, so I can continue taking the pizz

Didn't Nababababoo not actually have anything like the money he pretended to have though? Derek actually does have money and is clearly willing to put it into the club.

Also unlike the guy at Fev who was also involved at Cas and then Fax and seemingly had no real ties or affection to any of them. Derek is a life long Leigh fan and despite being in charge is still a passionate fan of the club with strong ties to the town of Leigh. Nowhere near as likely (or as easy!) to walk away as it was for Faisal. IMO anyway.

Nahabollocks didn't walk. Campbell got shut. It turned out that he never actually paid for his shares (or much of anything), so it was easy to get rid of him.

I don't doubt that that Degsy is a passionate fan, but his actions show that he's a pretty useless club owner.

Owning a club is about more than chucking money in. Any idiot with a few bob can do that.

The behind the scenes shenanigans that are going on demonstrate Degsy's failings as an owner. If even 10% of the rumours are true, I'd be worried if I was a fan.
