Does anyone know if he will be playing centre for you on Thursday? I was disappointed to see that he did not play centre at Batley, following his good display on TV. Could not believe Stewart was selected there. Thought Rowley would have stuck with Rudd. I also think that Alstead's best position is on the wing. Hope you move him back there against Widnes. I would love to see him mark Gaskell if he is back fit again. I enjoy their battles.

nothing suprises us anymore with team selection agree rudd should play

Rowley says he went with Alstead and Stewart in the centre, to shore up the defence, helped out by Aaron Smith and Leuluai.

Rudd did come off the bench though.

Ironically, I seem to remember Kelly selecting Alstead and Stewart in the centres when he took charge against Fev last season. Soon stopped doing it though, thankfully for you. Let's hope it was a one off with Rowley too. I enjoyed watching Rudd play centre for you.

Alstead is good anywhere along the back line when fully fit but Stewart has never played a good 80 mins in a Leigh shirt since we signed the guy (not that I can remember anyway).

I really rate Alstead too and I am glad to see he is back fom injury. I personally prefer to see him on the wing as I think he is your best winger, however he will not let you down anywhere, as you say.

Dont think Gaskell is playing on Thursday TBH........remember it saying in 1 of the rugby papers that he`s injured alongsie TKL and a couple others.

TKL and Leighitis... now there's a surprise... Thing is he's only appeared in just over half of Widnes games this season so glad tosee they are getting full value there too!

Was looking at Widnes official team photo for 2009, and couldn't even find him on that! Was he ill?
