For every Sky game in the Championship & Championship 1 there is money from the RFL, which is for the provision of free family tickets, and prematch/halftime entertainment. Presuming that the numbers are the same as for our league, that's 200 family tickets, which equates to 800 people.
Even without those 800, tonight's game would still have been a decent gate, so full credit to York & Oldham fans who turned out, but when sky are in town, RFL pull out all the stops to try and make it seem that the games have better attendances than in fact they would have got, had the game not been televised.
