Another ticketing fiasco : Sat Jun 20, 2009 9:31 pm
A copy of my email fired off to PB tonight.
Here are two reasons I no longer attend Harlequins Rugby League games on a regular basis.
1. I sat through tonight’s game squinting into the sun trying to shade my eyes in an attempt to watch the game.
2. I went to the ticket office before the game and asked to purchase a £20 ticket sitting with the Quins supporters. I was told that there were only £15 seats left and these were in blocks AA/AB. I enquired as to whether these were with the Quins supporter and was told “yes”. I was invited to choose a seat which I did, so I was a little surprised when the ticket said “unallocated “seating. I asked again whether these seats were for Quins supporters and told categorically by the ‘supervisor’ that this was the case. When I arrived at Blocks AA/AB, I cannot say I was surprised that in at least 50% of the occupied seats were Leeds supporters having had a similar experience at my last visit to the Stoop. It is bad enough watching your team annihilated by the opposition without being ridiculed by the opposition’s supporters surrounding you.
I appreciate your efforts in trying to encourage people to come along to the Stoop and but until you improve greatly on the match day experience, fans, some like me who have been supporting the Club since its inception, will continue to dessert the club.
I hope that you can find an answer to these issues before the exodus becomes unstoppable.
