Another ticketing fiasco : Sat Jun 20, 2009 9:31 pm
A copy of my email fired off to PB tonight.

Here are two reasons I no longer attend Harlequins Rugby League games on a regular basis.

1. I sat through tonight’s game squinting into the sun trying to shade my eyes in an attempt to watch the game.

2. I went to the ticket office before the game and asked to purchase a £20 ticket sitting with the Quins supporters. I was told that there were only £15 seats left and these were in blocks AA/AB. I enquired as to whether these were with the Quins supporter and was told “yes”. I was invited to choose a seat which I did, so I was a little surprised when the ticket said “unallocated “seating. I asked again whether these seats were for Quins supporters and told categorically by the ‘supervisor’ that this was the case. When I arrived at Blocks AA/AB, I cannot say I was surprised that in at least 50% of the occupied seats were Leeds supporters having had a similar experience at my last visit to the Stoop. It is bad enough watching your team annihilated by the opposition without being ridiculed by the opposition’s supporters surrounding you.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to encourage people to come along to the Stoop and but until you improve greatly on the match day experience, fans, some like me who have been supporting the Club since its inception, will continue to dessert the club.

I hope that you can find an answer to these issues before the exodus becomes unstoppable.

This isn't really the point, the point is Sky got their footage of nearly a full stand of people squinting in an attempt to watch the game!

That's the main thing :thumb:

Same experience sat in AB but then I only paid £5 due to the football shirt promotion so can't complain. However if this was my first ever visit it would have been a very poor experience since I was surrounded by Leeds fans who moved from behind the sticks. The stewards don't care and have rarely bothered to check tickets all season.

The atmosphere is poor (not just today's game) and sounded like no QRL fans were present even when we were winning. One thing I have noticed since moving from the Lexus is the noise, there isn't any from the home support. This is not a criticism about the loyal and load, just the location the East stand is pants.

1. Some sort of peaked cap might be in order.
2. Suck it up! I was on the West Terrace at our place and didn't fire off a complaint because you stuck it to us when you won. Grow up.

don't worry next week you can come to Belle Vue you can stand where you want, you can group up behind the sticks, you can wonder down each side, sit in the stand if you want , stand and be ridiculed or ridicule us :) but don't let it put you off,
their probably the worst set of fans to sit with when their winning arrogant to the fact you end up singing "we hate whinos "

Last time I fired off an email to the Rhinos about complaining it made me a very unpopular person. Just warning you!

It can shine all it likes but why should I have to pay to look at it.
