Title says it all .... not good news

According to South West Trains, no trains at all to Twickenham and some pretty long looking bus replacements

So allow plenty of time, or a good alternative is a fast train from Waterloo to Hounslow then a twenty minute walk through the back doubles via Kneller Road,

Or wait for the 281 bus from the HounslwStation that stops outside Twickers

And just when things were looking up !!

Seems there are trains from Waterloo/Vauxhall to Teddington and a 11minute rail replacement bus from Teddington to Twickenham station. Allow an hours(!!!!) travel from Waterloo. Bl00dy ridiculous in such a packed commuter belt. Looks like I'll be driving.

Count two of us out then. Disappointing but I can't extend what is already a 2 hour plus journey.

Replacement bus from Hounslow to Twickenham adds about 15 mins to journey time. Irritating but not a killer.

It was the same last weekend - bus replacement services from Hounslow to Twickenham and from Teddington to Twickenham. Fast trains from Waterloo to Hounslow, plus bus replacement won't be much different than normal service. Put it like this, I wasn't inconvienced much going in and out of Clapham Junction from Twickenham last Sunday - the service worked fine, especially coming back to Twickenham. Of course, I won't be affected on Saturday as I live in Twickenham. I'll face the same rail/bus situation on Sunday but it should not be an issue.

Here's a link to allBus routes in andout of TW2. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/twickenham-2271.pdf Personally, I was originally coming from Waterloo, I'd head to Kew Bridge, cross the road to where the Plough used to be (Sainsbury's Metro IIRC) and jump the 267 to TW2. Added bonus of a part travel bevy in the Express Tavern... Poor Gus....he's sent emails, been all over the twitterbook and even got ICS to facebook me too and now this happens..... ...still, If he'd got his finger out in January 2011 he'd deserve more sympathy the will get now. Crowd sub 2,500.
