Probably right though, we are not currently a top flight club either on or off the field.

Rubbish.....we are a top flight club with a top flight management, soon to be based in an even better top flight ground, selling top flight curry to our top flight crowds....

2 Tier SL could well be on the cards.....there is a bit of a a gap between the top 7 and the rest and let's face it, a lower level of expectation might rejuvinate the club from head to toe....

If there were just ten teams then I wouldn't expect to see any more than three from Yorkshire in the top flight.

I'd stick Catalans and Toulouse into the same league - the second tier one. After all it doesn't matter to me or anyone else whether they have 1000, 5000 or 10,000 in their own nation.

They don't produce a single player for the England team either remember, so what do they do for England? Nowt!

We could then play Salford for a place in Super League one.

And there would be plenty of Froggies needing a new job with us just across the tunnel :D

I'd been thinking along similar lines to Jamie Peacock on this. However, I do think that a fall out of Super League (or Super League 1, if you like) would be the death knell for the Broncos.

Depends.
It would seem that we are having our "cloth cut" for leaner times and it may well be that the club are resigned to a lower division in future years.

Crowds aside, the club receives 1.5 million from SKY/RFL and the same again from Mr Hughes....come 2014 we may well lose 50% of this with no chance of replacing it, so to lose another 500k but drop down a tier, might be the only way the club can survive.

I'd rather lose 66% of the revenue and survive in a lower tier with the chance to build from there rather than trying to struggle along on half of what we get now.

I say Crowds aside, because we are at 1.5k base now...contributing maybe 500k a year.......I believe that the majority would follow us in Tier 2 so long as the club were seen to be doing things to structured business plan with open KPI's and the opportunity to "be involved". Starting life with 1,000 regular fans contributing up to 30% of the clubs turn over would certainly focus the mind of those tasked with running the club....

But hey ho, I may well be way off the mark and another investor is simply waiting in the wings...

A 10-team top tier and 10-team second tier - with a reasonably even share of TV £££ - would boost both competitions. It should be a no-brainer.

I also think some time away from the top tier would suit the Broncos.

Surely this wouldn't happen?

The top tier would demand more money. They're the bigger clubs people actually want to watch. I don't see how sky / AN other broadcaster would pay more than a nominal amount to screen matches between the likes of Broncos and Fev.

What is clear is that the club needs (another) new start and not the fake variety that Gus has delivered. The current business model is defunct and heading for the knackers yard. You can't blame the M62'ers for planning a SL future without the Broncos. Brian Mac has put his finger on one of the main problems - the cost of running a SL outfit in London is at least 30% more than in the north. We either need a man + board with the vision of Dr Koukash or a time to re-jig in the Championship if ways can be found to finance it. I can't honestly see another solution.

Past caring quiet frankly, but the game is on its backside and I can appreciate the need for change. Let`s not be fooled though by this `it would be good for the game` proposal......it`s no more than a player from a top club wanting to preserve their position at the top of the league and as an individual earn more money.......would he be holding those same opinions if he were a London player? No mention of the fact that his own coach stated, that London are already at a financial disadvantage in trying to attract and retain quality players and that this needs to be addressed......but somehow it might be the making of us if we drop down into another division and receive even less money. So we are to earn promotion from the lower league, only to drop straight back down the following year because we have half the financial clout, no SL standard players etc etc.......great plan JP, I can see why you are a prop.

To be honest, despite all the years I have been following this club, if we go down a league I cannot see myself as being any more than a part-time supporter......so great plan JP, you can see how well it would work already.
