I'd of said that Gale and Ellis were of value to us. Especially Ellis, we never should of given a contract to Randall, and left their offer on the table for longer, as he was very good for us.

I think he was referring to SL clubs using the loan system.

Think James might surprise one or two despite not having played SL yet. He's a good organiser, quick and strong defensively. Hope he gets an opportunity with London, he deserved one with us but has Briers,Myler,Ratchford and O'Brien in front of him.

They are not centres as he has been "sold" 2 to us.

I think we tag every signing as a centre now - so long as they once played in that position.

Thing is though, Gale wanted to return North so how could we have kept him? As for Ellis, although our fans were broadly enamoured with him, he played under 3 SL coaches and it would seem that they all found some flaw in either his game or possibly his attitude/persona.

Re Randall, it would appear that a lot of our fans have turned on him (not sure why as it seems to me he always gives 100%). As Randall went off against Leeds with a hamstring injury, it looks like our fans will get their wish and we will have to function without him for a while. Be interesting to see how that goes.

Personally, I never particularly liked Randall.

Randall was superb in his second season with us, having got over the injury he brought with him from Oz.
