My apologies.Just that on Premier sport coverage that i watched this afternoon they said the Australian were talking about him reffing over here so I thought he might have come over from over there.

Nah, he lives and works in london, been over here a few years now, he was the try tag development ref as well as doing RFL stuff

I recognised him and thought we'd had him previously, but thinking again he may have been watching a game last season.

He did ref one of our games last season, can’t remember which, he has been on touch judge duties quite a few times for us as well.

NB when I used to ref in the southern comp we had an Aussie who managed the fixtures and also worked for the RFL. I cant think of his name. Is this someone different? would you know?

Steve, thats him. Is he still involved. He had aspirations to progress through the reffing world.

No not seen or heard from him for a few years, he has nothing to do with the SRLRS so not sure what he is doing now. As far as I know he has nothing to do with the RFL anymore either, but then again all the paid development staff down here went a few years back, they rely on daft folk like me who do stuff for free.
Steve actually did my Refs course.

Interestingly on Sunday the Refs one touch judge and 4th official were all SRLRS products, although Harry the TJ did go up to Leeds to uni so got his foot on the pathway up there. The 4th official on Sunday got on the graded officials pathway this year, so we are getting somewhere with match officials down here.
