Cas to win all day long on this game. We had a big blip against Hull but playing us on our own ground is a completely different ball game. Cas to run away with the game in the second half :SUBMISSION:

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Can't see it being a "classic" but most assuredly a chance for the boys put the farce last weekend behind them.

That's more like it.
A gutsy performance in difficult conditions by the team.
Another step in the right direction & can we have more of the same against Hull next week please.
Well done to All.

Re: Castleford Tigers this week : Sun Mar 17, 2013 7:57 pm
A fairly competent performance against a desperately poor Castleford side. I was concerned upon seeing their 17 as on paper I thought we were going to be in for a long afternoon.

However I was pleasantly surprised by the way our blokes stood up and put in a level of effort I haven't seen in 18 months. We bossed the game for 80 minutes - the first Cas try was never grounded but a bit of a cock up positioning wise by Dixon and their second was a very sloppy effort by 3 individuals who otherwise had excellent games. Other than that, it was our usual inabilty to convert territory to points that cost us the lead at half time.

Our defence was quality from 1-17. Bailey was outstanding. Robertson brilliant at full back. Will Lovell even impressed. Today was the first time I have noticed how vocal Channing is, winding up his opposites and he backed that up today with having Webster firmly in his pocket. Colbon also excellent on that wing.

Tony Clubb got a good run out today and I'm really starting to think he could be one of our top players for years to come. I just wish he would develop a nasty streak as I don't think many in the League would be capable of mixing it with him if he put his mind to it.

Even Witt played well!

I would prefer it if he didn't. Passing has never been his strong point and I think he fits the mould of a prop perfectly. I am sure this should be his future position as he is never a 13.

Had my doubts prior to this game, but that's a good result for the boys. Now - can we please sort out our home form?

Didn't gat an answer when I asked Radford how much he paid Stokes to save his job.

Re: Castleford Tigers this week : Sun Mar 17, 2013 11:31 pm
Much the same view as Lister - we were stood together. Not too many errors today either, simple game really. Cas on the last tackle were abysmal with some comedy moments, for a change we got the rub of the green (Cas kick on the last bounces of the post straight to one of ours for example) both in the game and from the the ref. Mr Roby did not endear himself to the Cas faithful!
