Having not seen any games last season for my membership but did get a pretty decent polo shirt, I'm very much in 2 minds about buying another. Will certainly do nothing until the final squad is officially announced (if it ever is). If Hughes & his menagerie want me to buy a Membership then they have to sell it to me not just say here it is buy it. If they can't be asked then I might just rock up to a couple of games & stick with Fulham & Quins who are both having good seasons.

STs do look reasonable value and good to support the team but I have to say neither the Leigh or in particular the Fev Rovers game look like being anything close to fun.
Then again you too have run an eye over a few recent decisions and found them potentially wanting on this forum so you may be banned! What a life!

Fair enough.

Commercial manager’s email caught me slightly on the hop early doors in response to my email asking for clarification on post payment ST process. Kicking myself slightly that my response was too measured. So it feels a bit snide to be putting the boot in here but, in general terms, expressed surprise that I would want an ST given my posts.

Putting aside the slightly creepy element and that I’ve avoided personal attacks on CM and The owner (as I’ve not felt best placed to judge and they have seemed a little harsh to me for various reasons) I did, as I reflected across the day, think that that kind of approach to a customer and one buying a higher ticket item ( in the scheme of the suite of products LB offers) was as we say in the trade “sub- optimal”. Others have mentioned being, in essence, banished from the club for social media outrages but if fairly measured criticism on a fan forum (a fan forum!) raises concerns they are in strife because surely to god most of the ST purchasers will have concerns about the Plough Lane/part time/ fascination with lower end of L1/haemorrhaging of support conundrum we find ourselves in. If all those were dissuaded from taking up ST s or made to feel uncomfortable then that would be that.

So what do you reckon. Was he trying to say we don’t want non-believers around here- ask for a refund? Or was he trying to intimidate/ be a smart Alec/ discourage dissent or was he just having a bad day and is getting sick of criticism of the way things are going when he/they are working hard. Could be the latter I suppose but criticism surely can’t be a surprise.

This smacks of insecurity and naivety of the highest order...... I've said the current staff are little more than wage thieves and I am happy to discuss that here or with them directly if they ever had the gumption to explain exactly what it is they think they're going to achieve at Wimbledon, that hasn't already been tried and failed at countless other grounds.

The Commercial Manager needs to wind his neck back in and if anything, be thanking anyone brave enough to part with cash for what on paper looks like a complete sht show of 2022. The fact he can place you as a customer and identify you as a forum poster isn't creepy at all....it just shows how worried they are about the general feeling amongst fans of the club....the last time a senior member of staff at the club spent far too much time on forums such as these, was when the fielding supremo was at the helm....he was out of his depth too and we ended up winning 1 game and then going down after he moved us unnecessarily, other than to cover up his own failures.

I suspect when Milner leaves the club, his time at London Broncos will me missing from his CV, as there's not really anything positive he could say other than he was "Head of Commercial" at a Professional sports club that under his guidance went part time before going bust......

Hoping we are going to win more than one this year OM but we won’t really be able to judge until after the Widnes game. Just seen who Fev Rovers have signed and it’s a different pool to the one we are fishing in.

One thing I think we can be certain is this will be a difficult season and only those with long memories will recall a trickier one. Cultivating current fans would seem to me to be the best approach rather than alienating but I haven’t worked in the sports/entertainment sector so who knows maybe it works differently. The one thing I am sure about though is when you lose fans it’s really tricky to get them back and we are down to about 300 hard core now.

I dont think I will bother emailing about an email about a season ticket then. I will just pop down to a few games and pay on the door when the big teams turn up. Shame really as the facilities at the ground do look good and it looks a brilliant little set up.

Hopefully it wont go down to crowds like at the national sports centre when there was like 200 people there. Anyone else rememeber the game where you could win £100,000 for hitting the crossbar on the goalpost from the halfway line i think? That was after you got the first two over the bar?

Sorry to hear that G. As I said in an earlier post I haven’t received my son’s code yet so haven’t booked my seat but I had a quick scout around to see if this was going to be a major problem and it isn’t as yet. In fact the number of seats already booked (which I assume is a high proportion of the STs purchased) is surprisingly low. You could book a really good central seat with no problem. I won’t give away how low take up is but (a) I’d urge people wavering to consider buying as it does look a bit existential and (b) a very quick doff of the cap to the guy (or gal) who booked the very last seat in the very last row of an (as yet hopefully) empty stand. Here’s hoping he/she enjoys their splendid isolation.

They could bring that back with an expensive car ads the prize to try and lure more people in.Easy to arrange with a garage and also insurance companies would you insure you if you had to pay out. Most cars given away as hole in one prizes are insured against people winning them.

I think he was having a bad day given he could as easily respond in here but hasn't and has also taken to direct contact with me on Facebook by interjecting in a conversation I was having with friends about the all blacks coach....

Surprised he has the time. He must have his hands full given the target for 5000 fans in 3 years.
