So what sane person who cares deeply about Rugby League, the London Club and it's importance (IMHO) to the growth of the game of a London club in Super League would blindly accept the current situation?
I have no idea. Who are these people?
I do know that there are a lot of unhappy fans who are still going to the Hive and enjoying the rugby/atmosphere/banter. These fans are realistic enough to know that they have very little influence on the running of the club but they probably realise that attending games is a little more likely than not to increase the chances of the Broncos continuing into 2015. I suppose many of them understand that Gus has been useless but I rather doubt that any of these fans can have a negative view of Tony Kleanthous or hope for anything less than him raking in enough £££ so that he might take us forward after David Hughes.
Then there are the handful of 'sane' fans that you talk of who care so deeply for the future that they would rather see Gus go down with a sinking ship than countenance the fact that Gus is still being paid by David Hughes, even if it is to do very little. But here is the key question: Do these sane fans believe that boycotting the games is more or less likely to deliver us a club in 2015?
Despite that, I have the utmost respect for the views of these disillusioned supporters. I just think these folk are cutting off their nose to spite their face. Continue agitating for change but do that on Monday to Friday. On the weekends, get down to the Hive and enjoy some rugby league in the sunshine in what is a perfect venue for a club with our current support base. Please - do come back because I can't see that you are getting much out of the sport by letting your (understandable) anger at a couple of individuals spoil your Saturday afternoons.
