Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

Well it'll be a start from scratch. Most if not all of current squad will move (or be moved) on.

better droning than drowning.

I find it hard to fathom how so called "fans of the club" are anything other than dismayed at the inactivity of the owner who caused this mess. Good for you Michael.....you went to the Warrington game.....   ......if there are not wholesale changes at the club, including ownership, then I suspect that within 2 years your away schedule will include trips to Hemel and the Skolars......with those teams being in higher divisions to us.

There are those that are saying that we are as low as we can go and next year is a fresh start. Believe me, this club still has some distance left to fall

Good to see the messages of support from friends in the north here - thank you all. A nice contrast to the arseholes who've come out of the woodwork on other forums (fora?) to slag us off. I take no joy in anyone's demise or misfortunes.

Having experienced promotion, relegation, then promotion again on numerous occasions your stint in the Championship will be filled with much more optimism and good times. RL is RL, and is still as exciting wherever it's played, and a good run at the Championship will help build momentum. Start winning again, a rise in morale, and the fans will start trickling in. I have some great memories of Salford winning promotion on a couple of occasions, and I'm sure next season will be the same for you guys.

Saw this news last night and felt absolutely nothing. Which would have been unthinkable maybe two years ago.

The chronic mismanagement of the club over the past few years has almost completely sucked out any enthusiasm I had for following the team on the pitch.

Even if we have a good season next year - I struggle to see how we come back from this and establish ourselves as a competetive Super League team. How many new or relapsed fans are the club going to be able to attract without top level footy to watch? without the likes of Wigan and Leeds visiting in a season. It is hard to picture.

From 8,000 fans turning up at the Stoop for Round 1, 2006 - to this. It's a sorry sorry tale and a collective failure of almost criminal proportions.

2 point Michael. Firstly, I was simply correcting the poster who believes this rot started in November 2013
In fact, you corrected nothing because said poster did not say that and does not believe that. Instead you simply changed the subject to one which you felt allowed you to launch yet again onto one of your oft-repeated and thus boringly predictable rants.

Agreed. I remember how emotionally involved I felt at matches towards the end of one season at GP when relegation seemed a real possibility.

Now, I just feel disappointed but no more.

You would have to look very hard to find a club that has not been mismanaged at one time or another. Thing probably feel very low at the moment, but the club need your support now more than ever. All owners are simply looking after the club for a period of time, supporters should remain and see out a number of owners while doing so. Its a shame that owners have the ability to damage the whole structure of a club and send it crashing.
Please don't let go to your club

Lampyboy, agree with you totally, it is not the end of the world, we still have a full time Profesional Rugby League team in London, we will be playing a different opposition, but adversity in sport shows the mettle of the fans.
As I said in another thread, I remember the year when my life long team got promoted from div 2 to div 1 they had this little team as runners up in div 2, think they are still called Wigan.

Simple choice, watch rugby league or dont!
