Just a thought from way out in left field here, but did none of you book travel insurance? Is this covered in your travel insurance, I book mine privately and should anything like this happen, i'm covered!
was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

are you sure. I think that most policies clearly state that sporting fixtures being cancelled are covered, but not postponed/moved.
Nice, very classy. Don't try and fight to keep an important cog in the wheel onboard, just flippantly see if they can be replaced. Lovely attitude that is.
It amazed the hell out of me that Alison & Brian took the mantle up again this season after how they were treated when we became QRL and proves [if proof were ever needed] just how much this club in it's various guises have got under the slin of some supporters and just how much they do to try to help the club.
Losing them over this issue without any discussion or apologies just indicates how low this club now percieve their own supporters. Yes the decision has been taken and yes, probably, there was sod all the club could do about it, but even the most hardened organisation these days should know how to communicate bad news well to those it supposedly relies upon.
Thats typical is that. Its mentioned fleetingly on the club website with not so much as a 'we apologise for the inconvinience'. Has anyone at the club got any idea how PR works?
Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently. Rosa Luxemburg, 'Die russiche Revolution'.

Seem to remember that HKR supporters were underwelmed with grief at PB's departure. I'm also not suprised at all at the treatmant of volunteers, having copped a bucket full in the Chiswick era. When the club left the only person to say 'Thank you' was Struddy, who'd only been there a year!
How about emailing Rammo tomorrow for the BBC London RL show, its mostly us lot that listen to him, but everyone should be informed of the way everyone is feeling.
Could also email with other RL related stuff if you really wanted to as well

Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 - Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader. Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward. Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I? Update on Quins Mogs :- Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo. Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas. Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9. Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.
This whole thing stinks. What's the betting that this is a bleeding Sky jolly? Can't think of any reason why they would want to show this match in particular (what is it, 5th v 11th? Crucial fixture I'm sure).
So many things about this make me angry (not least that me and my friends are about £1000 out of pocket in respect of lost expenses for this and the HKR game ).
Sky only care about the armchair supporter (although a certain Sky presenter usually passes comment on the "small" amount of Quins away crew. Is it bluddy surprising?).
I'm so pi$$ed off that I'm now missing two of my favourite away games.

If it helps, I am building an email list of people who will appreciate loads of Via gra offers
Seriously, I have put in a few hours work today and hope to email ALL the parties concerned, including the other 13 clubs with the results of the poll (90%) book straight away.......so therefore are fooked by moving a catalans home game at short notice.....
I don't dream it will make any difference, but just in case a national paper or 2 pick this up I will keep you posted.
