Its surely obvious. Whatever else, the East Stand is further away from the pitch. Yes of course you can still see, but its not as good a view as being in the Lexus.

Complete pish! The view is the same, nothing in the way, no posts etc so why keep on moaning about it... again and again and again... yawn!

Fair enough then. My understanding was that different events needed their own licence and it was the club, rather than the SMC, who chose not to get one for the rugby.

Nothing was surprising with the board we had.

Whether or not the difference is great enough to be worth arguing over, that does not mean Grundy is wrong. There is half the space between the Lexus and the pitch than there is on the East stand side and the view is better for it. Especially in the lowest rows.

No its true, you are about 10 yards further away from the pitch. The view is not as good from the east, and the atmosphere not as good or as intimidating for visiting teams.

There are no posts but it is NOT the same. You are further away and even further from the players tunnel and the overall experience of the game is not as good. I understood that the reason for moving to the East stand was a better impression when we were on Sky. Well I watched the Hull game on TV and the empty stands really stood out so not sure the object was achieved.

The seating arrangement on saturday were absolutely appaling. I'm in a season ticket holder in Block AD along with quite a few others. I understood this block should be for home fans. On Saturday we were surrounded by drunken abusive aggresive Hull fans some of whom had been sold tickets for that block. Others just told the stewards to eff off as they were going to sit where they liked. This is totally unaceptable from the club. There wasn't even the tape across the seats as there had been at the previous games to give the dividing line between home and away. Not that anyone took any notice of it at those games. Why can't the turnstiles have notices saying Home or Away supporters so that people know where they will be sitting. I don't expect to be intimidated by a drunken mob of away supporters at a home game and the segregation must be made much clearer.

Why can't away fans just go behind sticks? First season we came to Quins that's where we was alocated and it makes a much better atmosphere.

I wrote this on the Paul Blanchard thread about what i think and saw on Saturday at the Hull game,so i apologize for repeating myself here.

I wasnt going to enter this debate on this subject, but now feel have to say something.

I couldnt get to the game last night and ended up watching it on TV. and i have to say this PLEASE PLEASE who ever is in charge of this matter at the Club now sort it out and move the away fans in to one of the Stands behind the posts, because on TV it works awful. I sat there watching my team play a great game of rugby in what looked like a empty ground.

Every time Sky switched cameras from the Lexus stand to behind the posts it showed this plan just does not work, it look so bad my mate who popped something in for me thought i hadnt gone because the game was being played behind closed doors for some reason, thats how bad it looked to him.

Its not to late to rethink this idea, we are still in the early part of the season so have plenty of time to try something diffrent.

So as a concerned fan please Mr Blanchard for your first act as General Manger if not for next weeks game then at least for HullKR game move the away fans to behind the posts in the South Stand( i want it this stand as it has a higher roof so they cant bang on it like that can in North Stand). then allow Quins fans, who are the Clubs life blood and we are draining this blood away with this set up, to sit where they like in the Etihad Stand mainly in the middle if possible.

It will work we all know it will work, it worked in the first season at The Stoop. it will still look good on Sky (not like they are here every week is it). I think not only will our fans be happier so will the away fans as they will know where to go and be able to sit with their mates just like Quins fans will be able too.

So in fear of repeating myself Mr Blanchard,as a concerned fan who comes here and reads that loyal fans are thinking of leaving and those who tried hard to bring mates along and feel embarrassed at where they have to sit or try and watch from, act now before we get to far into the season and we have even fewer fans coming.

Maybe this is what we all should do and E mail Rammo about this on his Radio show, get him behind us so he can push to get Mr Blanchard in the Studio and we can all ask him out right on this subject (well if anyone has the bottle to phone in ),but the more e mails he gets on this subject maybe he take a little notice. He might think about sorting out a fans forum to talk about it.

I totally agree and so do a number of fans who were near me and discussed this very issue in the jester after the game. Like these fans I am not going to renew my season ticket next year if the seating is the same. Why should I come along to a home game and have nothing but abuse from beginning to end from away fans. I would rather take my chances with the cheap seats at the front at least there you have stewards. This is not the first game this season where there have been problems. Why should I get abuse for asking people to put their cigarette out, why should I be called a C U Next Tuesday. I paid good money to enjoy my favourite sport and so far this season I have hated every minute of the time I have to spend in my seat. I paid for the gold seats in some misguided way of thinking my money helped the club. True our 2 tickets were only £600 which is a drop in the ocean to how much it costs to run a club but I gave my best support and cannot and will not do it next year. The away fans must be moved behind the goal and hang the expense. If this does not happen then I fear for season ticket sales next year. I also agree with the other poster on here it looked dreadful on SKY far far worse than any SKY game last season.
