Being a bit picky but I don't think Les Kiss was officially head coach. I seem to remember he shared a caretaker role with Tony Rea for a while. I stand to be corrected though.

I think he was head coach for a bit, didn't he share the role with Dan Stains for a while also?

I believe he came to be assistant coach to Dan Stains. When Dan Stains left Les took over and hauled us up from nearly the bottom of the table to a respectable place. An ex-Broncos player friend considered him to be one of the best coaches he had ever played under. I believe his official position was joint coach with Tony Rea until he left.

Correct indeed, he and TC took over around mid June iirc and halted a long losing run with a decisive win over Sheffield Eagles. Les was a really nice bloke as well as being a good coach and had he been able to stay [seem to recall his missus wanted to go back to Oz] I think he would have turned into a very good head coach.

Whatever happend to the Great Aussie hope that was Dan Stains? Never heard of before we plucked him from obscurity and not heard of since.

Probably one of the crape$t decisions in the clubs history.

You serious??Played plenty of S.O.O. matches,was a well respected "tough" player in ARL,saw recently he was boxing in a S.O.O. challenge fight cant remember who against,but he certainly wasnt a nobody as a player,agree he was poor as coach.

Don't like the fact it said Les Kiss played for the Bears in the NRL!!!
