Maybe I should be banned from posting for a while because this isn't going to work...EVER.
I understand the thinking, but have we got a dance fan on the books
THE PRODUCT WE HAVE ON OFFER IS RUGBY LEAGUE......HELLO.....RUGBY LEAGUE
What with George Sampson 2 weeks back, this and High SKOOL musical later in the year, someone really has lost the plot at the club.
I want to watch my Rugby with other sports fans, not "street dancers" and screaming Kids  .

We may not have heard of them but Im pretty sure people who have havent heard of us.
If it spreads awareness where's the harm?

It's a massive thing to Kids, get them hooked on rugby while they are here and it is the next generation of fans. Good positive move. I don't care how many come as long as they come back and we get their data and use it. There is nothing like children for winning in the parent power race. If they want to come to High Skool Musical their parents don't stand an earthly. Great

i think the logic is bring people to watch the street dancing then hey o they can stay and watch the rugby might get a few permanent speccies out of it.
The regulars go there to watch rugby anyway so it's no big loss for anyone involved. So i agree DC no harm done

Whats wrong with just a normal half time contest? I found the 3 question thing and goal kicking competition far more entertaining.

With regards to kids, disagree about all this next generation of fans business, we need short term results fast, paying adults, not kids who might on the off chance continue to follow us and buy a season ticket in 10 years time.

Parents aren't going to be pestered into travelling to the game and paying in by their young children on the basis of some crappy pre match/half time show if they weren't going in the first place.

Yep...I saw....er exactly...er....NO G.Sampson fans at Celtic this Saturday.
Very poor marketing strategy IMO. The demographic of a northern RL fan is not the demographic of a southern RL fan. Without going into the logistics of it all, the G.Sampsons of this world appeal to a different type of fan....one that can dial 0906 and make Simon Cowell rich....but not one that can afford 300 odd notes for a ST ticket next year.....
Sorry.....but wrong and it won't work.
We have gone past the 200 extras to watch their hero/family members playing touch rugby before the game or dancing for us.
We need to see 1,000 new fans every home game with the hope we get 100 back.....not gimmick marketing appealing to an audience that has no interest in RL.
Hate to agree with listy, but I would much rather go back to the 3 questions/3 kick competition at half time.
It amazes me that some on here (and elsewhere) slag me off for being negative, but still the club continue to bleed fans whilst doing nothing about it.
Simple really. Allocate £20,000 to £25,000.......request ideas from fans and local marketing student groups at local Universities.....run a competition with a box and a cash prize for the winning ideas, (chosen by marketing professional and lecturers) and see what happens...
Can't be any worse than this will be...can it?

Disagree. You honestly think say a 6 year old child could pester there parents to attend a Rugby League match that they weren't going to attend in the first place because they wanted to see the half time entertainment? This is assuming they had no other plans, are happy to travel for an amount of time, pay to get in, pay for everything else that is involved when a family attends an RL match, somehow get 3+ seats together that aren't occupied by unruly away supporters and watch the crap rugby that we are producing at the moment? You've got to be having a laugh.
