A simple solution: Nic Cartwright, Tim Sheens, Kevin Naiqama : Sat Apr 06, 2013 9:22 pm
It's all very simple really. The club has a hopeless CEO, an inadequate coach, and a missing centre three quarter.
Nic Cartwright knew how to run the club. Gus McKay doesn't. Lure Nic back.
Tim Sheens knows how to coach a rugby league team, and may bring a player or two with him. He is obviously better than Anthony Rea (aka "Tony Ray"), who obviously has no influence over the players with his half time talks. Sheens wants to coach at club level, has mentioned the possibility of England, and will create a buzz among disgruntled former fans and present ones.
Kevin Naiqama is the most brilliant utility back not getting a run in the NRL on a regular basis, so he will be affordable (he is at Newcastle Knights, and can play full back, centre and wing. He is currently full back for Newcastle NSW Cup side. His older brother Wes plays for Penrith). Kevin Naiqama is lightning fast and has tremendous footwork, and needless to say is much more talented than David Howell, who in any case sits on the sideline most weeks of his contract. Kevin can make line breaks and outpace most defenders. He would be ideal in the centres with Sarginson, but can do a great job at full back if needed.
