http://www.therfl.co.uk/news/article/29 ... e-changing Like a lot of us i have been wondering about the move to the Hive and why AK would consider taking over a 'loss making' venture. I have said perhaps they think that when the new deal comes through in a few years time perhaps they are hoping for a big new deal with BT in competition now. It seems that Sky have been at work in the background and have pre empted things with this new deal. If the RFL have done their job this deal should have ensured the LB's and the other minor clubs are now financially viable. Is that being too optimistic? DH must have known what this deal is! Could be a turning point in our fortunes. Also could answer the question of why we have an agreement of only 2 years at the Hive. With the new contract kicking in after that we should no longer be a lossmaking club - so AK whould then be amenable to being the owner!? Just reading between the lines folks |
