Well your defence was pretty good especially in the second half. You have really dangerous centres and wingers who can cause lots of problems to teams this season. The only criticism I would make is that you look really light in the forwards (apart) from the young no 14 who played at hooker, he was a real handful. Although you look solid defensively up the middle, they just won't punch any holes for your backs to work off. You need a good set of forwards in this league.

Cheers mate i was wondering how the lad would do, as big things have been expected of him. But with Brown, Craven and Mellor his chances have been limited. His defence has been his weak spot over the last few yrs, but he has not had many chances at Widnes to judge.
Forwards have been an issue now for the past 3/4 years. We dont hurt teams, we dont dissapate their energy by making them tackle, which means we are constantly defending. i hope dryer grounds and better weather will help, but its a worry......
