Selco, answer our prayers!

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.

They're probably going to be social media oriented as opposed to cemented like Selco.

It's a very interesting concept that Rugbytel have, but I don't think it is currently a very successful one.
Google delivers no news on any other partnerships or sponsorships with any other Rugby Clubs of either code and although in existence for over 3 years, they have no customer comments or endorsements on their web site. Their Linked in site has 39 people following them and whilst it is as I say, a great concept, it's not something that will deliver any tangible revenue for the Club. Gareth Hardy was a professional Union player who has a degree and MBA to his name, but very little business experience and given his undoubted connection in Union, the lack of anything tangible in the way of evidence of success makes me consider this a nothing deal that will deliver nothing to both parties...but well done him for getting his logo on our shirts for what I suspect is no cash up front!
I will enjoy being proven wrong!
Edit: anybody know why the 2015 sponsor who was announced as a 3 year deal have stepped away?

The answer to most questions is David Hughes so that's what I'm going with.

Towergate Insurance struggling under debts of over a billion pounds were sold last year for a pound and then refinanced.
With a new management , this is probably why they no longer sponsor The Broncos.

Sponsorship is hard to get these days. It Is good that the club have been able to get a main sponsor. What it brings to the club we do not know,
This is bought into perspective by the fact Wakefields main sponsor this coming season is a fish and chip shop.
My sons under eight football team were sponsored by a chip shop a few years ago now. They a few quid and the team got sausage and chips once a month.
Hope Wakey got a better deal than that.
Then the Super League deal with Stobarts was not even that good.

Very diplomatic GF? has the festive period got to you or are you playing nicely as instructed by the overseeing mistress?
