Bosty, harsh words about G Hock, actually I agree in that I do not like him as a player and has been seen as a thug on the pitch. However suggesting it is desperation on a club to have him playing in my opinion is wrong, its a desire to win not desperation.
If he does the job they want him to do, which in reality is as an enforcer then hey so be it.
What other clubs need to do is learn how to play against him, if the bloke plays the game at the fringes of the laws then as long as he is dealt with when he steps the wrong side fine! Clever players will learn how to push his buttons to get a reaction and get him to transgress! get the penalty, get him sin binned etc and it works in your favour.
There are a lot of players out there who arein the same vein, I do recall a certain James Lowes playing for Bradford against us at the Stoop, I was shouting all first half for players to get in his face and get a reaction, bingo he throws a punch and all of a sudden we are up against 12 players.
Let G H do what he does, but get in his face get him to step over the line.
