Tonight v cas : Sat Feb 23, 2019 11:48 am
Very little chat re tonight’s game.
Danny sticking with the same squad from last weekend, obviously he isn’t as critical of some players as some on here.
How do-folk think we will get on? The 4g surface has generated some chat from Cas.
I think a win for us would be a surprise for even the most confident london fan, hope am wrong.
Got to keep hold of the ball as a start, and not give away too many penalties, ptb speed from cas could hurt although the judo skills seemed to work against wakey

I'm not usually one for targeting individual players but he really is out of his depth.
For a big man he runs like he's 2ft and 5 stone less.
Also Cunningham is NOT a halfback, he has no kicking game and spends the whole time running across the field.
Badly missing Sammut.
We've only scored 3 tries in 3 games!

Only players to have a half decent game were Yates, Mason, Kear & Williams..

Beaten today by fast ptb! Every tackle cas were making 10 mtrs, mainly because we we peddling back all the time.
Going forward though we actually showed some good skills when we put it through the hands, we will trouble other teams.
Thought the kicking game was poor tonight, to many kicks straight to the full back or winger.
Walker was missed at fullback.
Lovell didn’t lose us the game!

Cas are not an easy side for anybody to beat, but it's first time watching you and cas were just physically stronger in making yards and dominating in defence. I think the score line flattered a little bit in you payed well and could have had more points but on the other hand so could cas.

Cas could be in the top four so it's not a shocker that they beat you, and they will probably beat other sides to similar scores. Widnes maybe needing to shed a few players I would look to them to add to squad inu n forward maybe?

Just over 2000 in tonight, considering it was on tv lots of cas fans could have stayed home but they brought a decent number, and made a lot of noise!
Wigan up next, should be a stroll in the park

We brought 900 tonight and it was worthwhile. I thought the scoreline flattered us a bit and the effort you put in will have pleased your coaching staff. Main difference was finishing as you got to our 22 almost as many times as we got to yours but we just seemed to have the skilled players to finish it off with points or to force a repeat set. I'm sure you will improve as the season goes on and good luck to you.

Thought cas looked pretty tight in that game, good speed at the ruck. Defence was solid you shut down our attack pretty effectively . Reckon you will be in the top 5 this year and competing for old Trafford, especially as you were playing with a few of your first choices out injured.

Thought Alex Walker was in the 17, did he get injured prior to the game ?

Disappointing game after that first match against Wakefield, we looked like schoolboys in size with the forwards, as others have said Castleford were far too fast at the play the ball for us, also it did not help that hardly did we ever move up as they played the ball, while Cas were on top of us before we even started to move after we played the ball

I was told Alex had damaged his fingers as he did in The Million Pound game, that was a big loss, we need to recruit if we are going to move on.
