I think that if you look at our performance over the season we haven't really played well but we can put some of that down to the fact that we have had a lot of injuries for a lot of the time. We are now in the position were we are getting players back ( Green 2 weeks ago, Micky Mac, Thornley etc etc) and are hoping to play a stronger team nearer to full strength. Unfortunately we need these players to gel again fairly quickly and get back on form.
We all know we play a very "structured" game and other teams have often said "We know what Wigan are going to do but we just cant stop it". Unfortunately that structured game needs a lot of work to keep it to the standard that is required. Tonight for me showed how we haven't got back to that standard. How many times did we move the ball across the line (especially towards our left wing) and the ball was passed onto the floor? Our "structured" game was very slow and a bit shoddy which allows the opposition to get players into our line. I know conditions weren't good but we still struggled.
Our problem is that we only have two more games before the play offs to get ourselves sorted and lets face it the games are against Leeds and Wire so they wont be easy games that we can use as training sessions.
