In three years we've lost or are due to lose;

C- Gleeson
C- Carmont

Hk-Piggy

SR-Joel
SR-Hoffman
LF-

That's almost a full starting 13 and some names stand out of the page as real top draw players.

It's more of a worry that Deacon, Coley, Tommy and Joel where in our leadership team and Finch is the current VC of our side. Joel for me was Lockers natural replacement at captain.

Without been all doom and gloom you can't lose a side like that and not see an effect on the side.

any other team loses players of that quality (and quantity) and they would struggle to make the 8.

We can't afford to keep doing it.

We can't lose the best centre and HB partnership in the league.

We can't lose the leagues top prop and two 2nd rows of the quality of Hoffman and Joel.

Yet to be fair were in superleague and any side with players like Tomkins, O'Loughlin, Hock, Charnley, Richards etc will always challenge.

I think the worry is we'll become top four challengers rather then the certs we are at the minute and the cup would be just a 'chance' rather then thinking were one of the top one or two favourites.

Our signings for 2013 will be the difference between being favourites for everything or just having a chance of trophies much like Huddersfield, Catalans or Hull.

I agree to an extent but you've named 10 players there, 6 of whom have already left and we are top of the ladder and in the semis of the cup. We are very strong in the forwards and we just need to make sure the recruitment and youth promotion for 2013 is spot on. People were complaining all this off-season that we short in various positions and we'd be lucky to break in to the top 4. Players retire, players move-on, have faith in Wane, Lenegan et al that they will make the right decisions to ensure next years squad is just as strong as this years.

If a bloke is prepared to coach his teams to physically hurt opposition players in order to win (which is what was reported although in an exaggerated manner IMO) then him trying to pinch the best players from his former team is really a non event.

He's ruthless like I say but still he's a man who'll go down in Wigan legend and he made us all proud again.

If he takes Sam though then he can pi*s off......ha.

TBF it's the three we are going to say goodbye to this year in Tommy, Finch and Lima that i'm the most worried about.

It's gonna take big players to fill those very big holes in our team.

We've got lucky in Coley that Mossop is ready. We got lucky that we've got Hock and Hansen to fill the SR hole.

How many times can you lose key players and find a ready made replacement?
