The times right to move away from overseas imports now. We've had a recent history of signing some very good ones after years of signing duds. The problems been the good ones seem to cry off home early and in the past we couldn't shift the dead enders for love nor money.

We're getting stung too often for my liking now so it's time to just go British. I'd love to see Lenagan go out and pay transfer fees for a couple of players (Brough and Clark spring to mind) but that won't happen so we'll have to keep developing our own.

Players like Russell, Thornley and Crosby are bang in with a chance of being in our 17 come 2013. We'll need to be patient but it's also exciting.

pmsl........most on here wanted to sack Wane after the loss 1st game of the season.......bringing home grown youngsters through could take easily 2 seasons or more.

Quite right!!!! IL should come out and say "I will promote young british players and only make limited quailty overseas signings, but it takes time and patience" .............. Oh just a minute....

We are Wigan. We will always have interest in our best players. With RU looking to steal our talent and the NRL cap going up, I am worried about keeping our best players over the next few years.

This could be a massive problem. I fully understand any player who wants to make more money in the NRL/RU because its a 10-15 year career. they need to make the most of it whilst they can.

I wonder what it will take for the RFL to realise there is a problem with players leaving. As long as they do people will think of the sport as 2nd rate.

We definitely need to make some signings / announcements, getting worried now. Losing a lot of experienced heads on a pitch is bad, look at what happened 2003-2008.

Most?

I can remember one person saying that. At the time I said I hope Wane would learn from his mistake of sticking them all in together and he has.

If there's no players available of the right quality in this country we could have little option but to accelerate a couple of youngsters paths in to the first team.

I think those wanting instant announcements will be left disappointed. My guess is if we are bringing any aussies over there'll be continued rumours coming from the aussie press, british papers will regurgitate this about 3 weeks later then the club will announce the signings when everything is signed and sealed. I'm going to estimate around mid July which was when Hoff, Lima and Finch were announced in 2010 IIRC.

I am loving it all. Much as i would like us to win everything, have all the best players, and just the best team in the world, all the unfolding plot of what happens is why i love sport. Watching who comes and goes, watching the team balance ebb and flow. I love to just sit back and enjoy the roller coaster ride that is Wigan RLFC.....

When you are not happy about things, worried about the team, feel there should be an announcement, just think..... You could be a Warrington fan
