Sam HAS to stay at 1 for me. Russell looks a very good prospect as an 18 year old but I haven't seen anywhere near enough from him to justify moving the best player in Super League from his best position. Out of the players we've been linked with I'd love to see us get Soward and Brough if Finch does go. I don't think Matty Smith or Lee Gaskell are of a good enough standard to replace Tommy and Finch.

Think we should put all our efforts in to getting Danny Brough regardless if hes off contract or not. We need an experienced halfback with high quality which Brough fits. His kicking game is outstanding, he's a great competitor and he also kicks goals which is gonna be essential with Pat missing games. If we could get Brough on a similar wage to Tommy and then add a young English half back i.e. Smith or Gaskell then I wouldn't mind. Could always use Sam at 6 as mentioned in bigger games with Russell coming in at fullback

With option to switch Sam to 6 and bring Russel in looks ok.

To be honest I wouldn't be overly disappointed if we didn't bother replacing Lima. Yes he's been outstanding so far this season but we have an embarressment of riches in the forwards and should look to promote from within. Hopefully the likes of Dudson, Spencer and Burke can step up and fill the void. Not forgetting Ben Flower of course, who played pretty well at the start of the season before his injury setback

Pretty sure that had deals been set up in advance that Lima and Finch would of followed Madge and Hoffman at the end of last season, all 3 of those signings proved to be great players but its just a pitty that all three could potentially be elsewhere in 2013 if Finch leaves too.

Maguire's wife having had her child also felt home sick was a big decision in them leaving for Sydney.

Been told today from someone else we are deffo after Brough, since Dureau signed again with Les Chocolate Fingeres.

Brough is an outstanding kicker but what are peoples thoughts on his organisational skills?

I would go out on a limb and say that he is the best tactical kicker of a rugby ball in world RL.

He aint the youngest though and he would cost a few quid.

Would still be chuffed if he signed, but i would prefer the (tenuously) linked combo of Gaskell / Soward.

Signing Soward would be a master stroke. Granted he might only be here a short while, but DB does not have a great track record when it comes to sticking with the same club. From memory the clubs he has left have never given the impression that he would be missed. Might say a lot about his relationships within the clubs.
