i hope we dont sign chase hes a liability and a disaster waiting to explode he is ill disciplined and a fine example of this is the ropati incident earlier this season

or, on the other hand, he was named the best player in super league among his peers.... so can't be that bad

and we have gareth hock in our second row, it's not like we're strangers to liabilities/disasters waiting to happen

For me, Hock is 10x the player Chase is and well worth the risk

To be fair, it was quoted several times in the Aussie press. It wasn't just a stab in the dark or wishful thinking, we were/are genuinely linked with him and have made enquiries. It's not like when Hull fans thought they were signing Cronk!

with all the talk of transfer fees etc, i would be more than comfortable taking Holdsworth to partner Smith.

It looks like he is going to play again next year from the comments he has recently made. I suspect that he will continue at St George. He would be an excellent short-term signing for any club over here though.
