Thats 7 props in the 1st team squad. Do we actually need to sign anyone?

Yes. Prescott and Mossop are injury prone and Dudson possibly too.

Agreed - add to that we are losing Lima who is a player that intimidates the opposition and is a real leader of our pack.

Props like Lima are not easy to replace.

I don't think we'll sign a prop, Wane will want to go with the young lads.

I think we'll bring in another halfback from somewhere but I don't expect any other signings.

I like Scott Taylor. I have mentioned him before on this thread. Certainly worth looking at IMO.

He's been excellent every time I've seen him and under Wane's coaching with our props around him he'd only get better. We'd have an excellent, predominantly young, British front row. Scott Taylor looks a real prospect and if he becomes available for a fee I'd hope we'd be interested.

If Scott Taylor & Soward were our only signings for next season, I'd be quite pleased with that really. Leave enough cap room that we can extend contracts or sign someone in exceptional circumstances, and we'd also have the lowest number of overseas players in the league if my maths is right.

With the ins and outs we are going to experience between 2012 and 2013 seasons you would anticipate even with upgrades that we must have significant cap space available to sign a real quality player from the NRL even with there increased cap.

Whilst I am willing to accept and understand why players like Green and Gaskill are being linked to us and would be comfortable with them signing both are a massive step down from Finch.

Soward would be an outstanding signing and really put bums on seats, it would also give is another goal kicking option, a really exciting prospect.

I am not sure if it will happen and we will all have to be patient as I doubt anything will be announced until our season is finished, although I would anticipate that once St George's season finishes if he were coming they would make an announcement that he was leaving at that point.

As usual its interesting times ahead. Moa and Soward would see me pretty happy and us remaining competitive for next season also.
