Example: 1 bt 8 2 bt 7 3 bt 6 4 bt 5 1 and 2 would advance to the semi finals, 7 and 8 would be out. 3 would then play 5 and 4 would play 6. Interestingly, if you lose in rd1 although you may get a second bite of the cherry you lose any home advantages you may have earned whereas over here you just play at home the week after.
