Wayne Bennett!
I dont really know what to think about this Bennett speculation. It is almost as if no team can win the big comps without him.
He is given so much credit for producing winning teams that the players are almost secondary to to success.
It is like ringa, ringa roses of international coaching. he goes to one, then another and now some people think that if he were the top man in the England/GB camp sucess would automaticaly come raining down on us.
If he where to become national coach how involved would you like him to become?. For me a national coach should firstly coach the side (obviously) but along side this i would like to see him cultivate the entire international set-up.
We know of his personal reasons for perhaps not coming over here for a long term coaching of a SL side (well we speculate on this). so why would he possibly come here to coach the national side?. Unless it is to take charge, make the team competitive and for want of a better expression "paper over the cracks" of the internaional set-up. Then what? he buggers back down under and we have to put up with the usual rubbish whilst looking for a new coach.
I dont know where i stand on this at the momment
ps apologys for the spelling and grammar, but i am very, very drunk!
