We’re certainly crying out for some direction out of halfback as the kicking game from Tommy was very ordinary again but I can’t fault the endeavour and the body language tonight. I said in the stand at 14-11 down that I would be happier in defeat on the efforts of tonight then I was with the victory last Sunday at HKR. We looked like we’d rather have been anywhere but Hull last Sunday but whatever words were spoken after that game certainly seemed to at least stir the energy levels and the noise levels up a couple of levels.

We’re about 3 or 4 quality players shy of Saints at the minute and that’s before debating the coach but things can turn quickly. Here’s hoping we have the finances to get the players we need for 2020.

Against Leeds any other year we get demolished. I'm relieved at the win, I'm not enthused by it. We still look bang average at best, very poor with the ball. Some great effort and endeavour, but no craft, no intelligence.

If we're picking Leeds sides from previous seasons can we pick a Wigan side from previous years too?

I'd like to see Leeds 2015 v Wigan 2010 or Leeds 2004 v Wigan 2000.

We should enjoy tonight for what it was and that’s just getting the two points. Probably the poorest standard Leeds v Wigan game I can recall, with both of us being way off what we should be in terms of cap spend.

Can't disagree with much that has been said, We beat a very ordinary Leeds side thanks to good goal-kicking and a real dig in defence, but our attack is still way off and, as I've said before, we are way too reliant 0n Williams or Gildart producing some thing out of nothing.

I'm been banging the Sarge drum for a while & i had to laugh at some comments I've seen online of people questioning why he's in over Escare.

Sarge brings a Tomkins esq skill set to the team, which lets us go back to the shape / tactics that the guyd are comfortable with. I honestly think him being at FB could be the catalyst to freeing up out stuttering attack.

I'd bring ZH back into the side and on the wing.

And that Clubb 'try' was a really terrible decision! OK, it didn't effect the result, but it was still very poor.

I think we need to remember that we are a side lacking in confidence and looking over our shoulder. That can impact our fluidity in attack.

I think the Clubb try at the end will do us a world of good. The psychology of the win changed with that moment from one of relief that we managed to hang on to one of enjoyment of the win.

We have a long way to go but there’s a decent team in there somewhere.

Just seen the Saints/Hudds highlights on SSN, my god Hudds left hand side was shocking, Makinson just scored a hat trick without getting his jersey dirty.
I know it always seems like a tough game at their place but there's two points going begging next week.

You could see what my point was, because I explained it afterwards... Being a nob wasn't required.
