I think its clear that in European cup football Premiership teams have the edge over their Italian and Spanish counterparts.

However, I'm still firm in the belief that top-flight English football is dull as dishwater and La Liga matches in particular are ten times more entertaining and technically superior, and thats not even mentioning the far better value for money these leagues offer supporters.

If that makes me a 'placky Spaniard' then so be it, I'd sure as hell rather live in Spain than in this country anyhoo

VFM? You tell me. What's the going rate for tickets in Spain and Italy. If it is great VFM, where are the fans?

I know for a fact in Italy the top clubs only sell out for the big matches in the league and big matches in Europe. Some of the Italian attendances are embarrassing in Europe and in the league for so called big clubs. The fans, I can only presume are not finding VFM or they would be packed week in week out. There averages are no where near the capacity. Am I right in thinking Juve can't manage an average of more than 25,000. Yes I know there's problems with the fans and the stadium, but even taking that into consideration, that's pretty pi$$ poor effort.

I bet that was one of Real Madrids highest attendance for years the other night, only because Liverpool were in town and if you think the prices over here are steep, how come the Liverpool fans were paying either £58 or £88 to watch the game. None of the Spanish clubs seem to sell out week in week out either, so it's not as if they are banging down the doors for these VFM matches, is it.

Again, in Spain, the averages are nowhere near the capacity.

Not really. Hicks has been after giving Parry the flick for a while. Was it November where he slated Parry for Liverpool being left behind in the income stakes?
