Its a shame it has been allowed to happen, peoples views will always differ on the topic but to allow it to turn into a slanging match is wrong.

What is important is remembering the fact that so many lost their lives and even more have had their lives ruined forever as a result of what happened. There is never going to be an agreement on why it happened or who was to blame (personally from what I have heard I don't think you can put the blame to one person, there seems to have been a number of errors) thankfully things have improved now and hopefully we will never see such tragedy.

My thoughts are with everyone who was touched by what happened that awful day.

do me a favour, call into the hillsborough family support centre on breck road and let them know your feelings on the disaster.

amoeba like you don't deserve to breathe the same air as decent human beings, i hope that one day you lose someone close to you in such an horrific manner, why don't you try talking to trevor hicks who lost his teenage daughters that afternoon? but as i see it you are the archetypal message board gobshite who can spout venom from behind a monitor but in reality you are a really lonely, sad and desperate person.

do us all a favour and go away and stay away....................

 totally uncalled for

RIP the 96

My Dad and Uncle were at this game when I was a month old and I'm still relieved to this day they returned. RIP 96.

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

I am a Manchester United supporter, and have never held Liverpool/scousers in particularly high regard. But some things go beyond tribalism.rivalry. I was 1 at the time of the Hillsborough disaster so can't pass comment on the state of the game at the time, well other than what I have been told. My uncle was there that day and thankfully no in the LL end. Imagine had he been one of the unfortunate ones and I had never grown up knowing him? SO many others have grown up never meeting their father, mother, brother etc. Why? What for? Their crime? Supporting the team they love, the events of 15th April 1989 changed the face of English football for ever.

Like I say I am United to the core and dislike LFC, but those who try to score points from the death of innocent people are sub human scum and have clearly never lost anyone close to them. It has been proven that the blame lies with the South Yorks police for failing to control the numbers both in and outside Hillsborough that day. Ok plenty of scousers didn't have tickets and perhaps didn't help matters but I don't think anyone with half a brain can lay the blame on them. 96 Innocent people went to watch their team and never came home, very sad for the city of Liverpool, the north west and the sport as a whole.

RIP people
