Anyone find it unfair that Ashall can spend his one match ban on their less meaningful European club championship game? Unless I'm mistaken anyway. At least Reittie will still not be playing against us on the 10th.

I'd hope we have their strongest side out when they play us.

That way they have no come back when we finally beat them.

It is perfectly fair to use a european game to serve a suspension, It is a first team game, and it counts.
I remember when a few Cougar players got suspended, and they used reserve team matches to serve their suspension.
If it was Shickell, or Rawlins or another of our players, and we did what Halifax is doing, well would it be fair then???

So, does that mean that Rettie is out for 5 matches in total - after his other 1 match ban in the same game?

The Committee believe that Mr Reittie has thrown a needless and unprovoked head-butt towards his opponent that had the potential to cause serious injury. Whilst the panel note that Mr Reittie may well have been subjected to verbal abuse, that as a Rugby League player he has a responsibility to rise above such abuse. The panel do take into account Mr Reittie’s good disciplinary record and his guilty plea and therefore believe that a 4 match suspension and a £50 fine are in order.
