Sometimes they say its better to let the dust settle before making any big decisions, but I think maybe its time up for Paul March to go. We need to rebuild and a freshening up of the playing rosta is required. Unfortunately, a lot of the rubbish has already been re-signed for next year which makes rebuilding difficult.
Its fair to say that a large majority of the players have gone stale or are simply not good enough to be championship standard. We don't want to be a yo yo team, and therefore need to get rid of players that are never going to be good enough. I'd rather give some young lads a chance.
I think the club needs to have a good look top to bottom on a strategy to be an established Championship team in 3/4 years.
Lets forget about all this Super League talk as its not going to happen without any serious investment from the owners. This is not a criticism of Gary Fawcett, personally I wouldn't want to pump money into something where your not going to get a return, but I believe there are certain things that could be done better from the current board to generate more cash / investment.
The death of Danny earlier in the season has been a massive blow to the club. No doubt without this tragedy, I believe we would have won the league and had a home game to win promotion, but you never know how these games can go. We've also had a lot of injuries to key personnel as the season has gone on.
I don't think the timing of Paul March's comments regarding Buster have help matters over the last few weeks. It really should have been kept 'in-house'. He never mentioned anything whilst allowing others to have holidays mid season.
He can only look at himself in our relegation season by getting himself banned for over half the season.
I only hope the club can make some big decisions and not let sentiment get in the way of moving forward.
