Typical Wakefield, we do all the hard work only for another team to reap the benefit.
Hickey shouldn't have played this season. If he'd had turned up in that condition to any other SL team their coach wouldn't have put him anywhere near first team rugby. Hopefully Agar will be alot stronger than Kear and have faith in his young academy products.
That's time wasted developing an overweight journeyman which could have been used on developing our youngsters. Maybe, the difference between some staying at WTW for the long haul and moving on!
Hickey certainly had potential, it's just a shame that after persisting with him to get him anywhere near to match fitness it'll be another club who'll possibly reap that reward
