Attendance / Atmosphere : Sat Sep 29, 2018 6:54 am
I have been a season ticket holder now for a number of years and like all of us who read this board I care about the club. The attendances in my opinion this season have not been acceptable for a club that are punching above our weight. The atmosphere for a while now has been terrible.
I am no accountant and I know the ticket prices for next season have been released but would it not be worth a punt in significantly reducing the prices for a certain period to see if we can sell more?
If we base this very simply on let’s say 2000 adult passes at £250 gives us £500k, or we reduce to £150 and maybe sell 4000, it gives an extra £100k up front but an extra 2000 people buying programmes, food and drink?
Surely this would help increase revenue, fill the stands and improve the atmosphere?
I know the Glover model didn’t work out too well but maybe there is a balance between the two which could work?
Whilst talking about food is there any scope for a jacket potato stand? Quite often I am hungry at a game but never fancy a burger or chips. I remember once we used to have this next to the score board.
Please discuss.
