FIXTURES : Tue Nov 05, 2019 4:33 pm
From what i can see we have six games with a 5 day turn round. We have a 6 day turn round when we play Toronto that will include travel. We then travel back and have a six day turn round again before we play Leeds.

I noticed the three loop fixtures we are away twice to Wolves and Rhinos, home twice to Giants and Hull FC, we also have HKR three times due to magic weekend. If those 5 teams don’t improve on last year, who knows how we will go. When I saw last years fixtures published I thought 6 points from London no problem. I won’t be making that mistake again

Only 1 home game on sky so far. Good for crowds bad for ground sponsorship/advertising.

After a quick look Shuds have 3 5 day turn rounds same as HULL and HKR. Leeds have 1.

The season has been starting earlier and earlier since the move to "summer" rugby. The fact is you are more likely to get a frozen pitch at 7.45 pm on 31st January as any time in the winter and the chance of season ending injuries is high. I know the idea was to get rid of 2 games at Easter but which is more likely to result in injuries? I suppose the answer is fewer games but the club's want the revenue from 14 home games.

Its hardly a level playing field . For me each club should play another club home and away only and have an equal number of short turn rounds. I have suspected for a number of seasons that the fixture lists work against certain teams while benefiting others on a regular basis.

We need to stop playing the victim.
There will always be quirks in an unbalanced fixture program but, it's not a major problem.
As the op suggested, playing London 3 times last season looked like 6 easy points, which didn't happen.

One game at a time and hope that we get some luck with injuries (or lack of them).

Already looking forward to the new season :D

Me and my Dad were discussing this the other day. You get all the better days throughout Autumn when the season is done. Surely it would be better to move the season on a few weeks? Start in late Feb, with the Grand Final being played in late October.

But we are the victim of unbalanced fixture list. It can not be that difficult to provide a fixture list with a more balanced result. The observations not about playing a club 3 times its about the turn round between games. Leeds only have one game all season with a 5 day turn round , providing extra time on the remaining games for bodies to mend.

A lot of that though is down to clubs choice of what day they choose as their "normal" day. Leeds choose to play their home games on a Friday and so are not as badly affected as us by the move of games for SKY
