Seen that they have announced there squad and while back division dont look too bad they look light in forwards but they only seem to have a 24 man squad so could be a lityke light in players
Leigh's problem is that there simply isn't much talent available. Plenty of good players in SL but nearly all are tied down, With transfer fees being a thing of the past it's hard to prise players away. Ditto, the NRL and reserve NRL etc no longer supplies players in the quantity they once did. All levels of Aussie RL are wealthier than ever and the exchange rate remains poor. It's interesting that many of the overseas players in SL hail from NZ or the Polynesian islands, places where the pound buys a lot more. Finally as has been mentioned before, a lot of championship players are not willing to go pro for a club that may only last one season in SL when they can often earn far more playing semi-pro and working.
I don't envy them.
The clubs I'm interested in are my key indicator clubs. HKR, Hudds and Salford, teams we are always pretty level with, in terms of wins and loses in recent years. Then Cas who may or may not be on the slide but are the one we measure ourselves against and then Leeds, a team we always seem to want to beat. If we can beat all those teams more often than not then pick up bits here and there we could finish in the play offs.
If we can't and we can't beat Leigh then we are in bother. We shall see.
